Five New Signings Announced:
The club today confirmed the signing of five new
players as Alan and Lloyd start rebuilding the
side ready for the new season.
The most high profile of the signings is Trinidad
& Tobago international Ian Cox who joins the
Stones from Division Four outfit Gillingham. Also
joining are Jay Saunders and James Pinnock, both
from Margate, along with Kevin Watson and Roland
Edge, both from Folkestone Invicta.
Meanwhile, it looks as though Mo Takaloo has
played his last game for the club as strong
rumours are circulating that he has rejoined
Ramsgate.

Folkestone Invicta 0-1 Stones:
What a day! A massive away following for the
Stones (where have they been all season?)
witnessed a gritty, backs-to-the-wall performance
that ensured our Premier Division survival at the
expense of Folkestone.
Mo Takaloo scored the only goal of the game and
that's all there is too it.
We are staying up!

Stones 1-2 Heybridge Swifts:
Stones blew a great chance of virtually ensuring
Ryman Prem safety with a home defeat at the hands
of Heybridge Swifts.
Jacob Erskine put Stones 1-0 after only seven
minutes but two goals late in the game gave all
three points to the visitors and condemed Stones
to needing a win at Folkestone on the final day
of the season.

Harrow Borough 0-1 Stones:
Maidstone went into this game knowing that
Premier Division survival could well rest on the
outcome. To this end it was a very attacking
Stones team that went at their hosts fro the
outset. Harrow were restricted to but a handful
of shooting opportunities but thankfully they
twice put the ball wide of the goal when it would
have nbeen far easier to score.
The introduction of Mo Takaloo was the
inspiration Stones needed and it was Mo who was
on hand to score the only goal of the game, in
the 75th minute.
This result moves Stones two places out of the
relegation zone but with only two games left,
things are still very tight.

Stones 1-4 Ashford Town (Middlesex):
If, or when, the Stones are relegated we will
look back at this embarrassing performance in the
knowledge that on a day when the club needed at
least a point, they instead got exactly what they
deserved - nothing. This has to be one of the
worst performances of the season.
The visitors went ahead as early as the tenth
minute (although it was quite late for us to
concede a goal in reality!) while at the other
end their keeper had very little to do for the
remainder of the first half.
Stones started the second half brightly,
equalising after just three minutes when Ben
Lewis scored his first goal for the club from a
typical Aaron Lacy throw-in. Unfortunately that
was about it as far as Stones were concerned. The
visitirs stepped it up a gear and rattled in
three more goals before the referee decided
enough was enough.
Amazingly Stones are still not in the relegation
zone, but it surley won;t be long if we continue
to play like this!
